    The door gasket is quite thick you can fluff it up by squeezing it togather and achieve an almost new seal without messing with the handle.

    I'll be trying that when I get home this evening.

    Has anyone removed the washers between the latch and the stove body, or is it just time to hit up WS for some maintenance parts?

    I fluffed the gasket tonight when I got home from work. Instantly the latch is tighter, and the gap is gone. Thank you Hollywood for your insight. I do think I'll drop WS an email and order a gasket set and cat to keep on hand for next season.

    Hmmmm.... I don't read these big IS threads all the time,but I try to follow whats going on. When I came across this "door gasket" discussion and talk of star washers behind the gasket material because some material has more density that others. Now I'm thinking this is my issue on my Absolute Steel as I discuss in this thread.
