    If you look at that tree in the center of the picture below, this is one of the early signs (other than the D shaped holes) that the EAB has been eating this tree. The next stage will find the tree sending out new suckers at low height. It is trying to keep itself alive, but it is all in vain. The tree will die. That particular tree may already have been burned and in that area, we lost a pastel of them.
