    It was in the 40’s, the aspect ratio of the sun is high and makes it fell way warmer than the temp says. I made a mistake of not taking the shell off I was wearing. The snow was deteriorating badly and the hike was like walking in 6 inches of mealy, powdery sand. The trek is up the river bed, some of the post holes you look down and see water. There are a few pics of the open water.

    The little one sacked out is priceless.
    Had the front pack version (till it was too small), a lot of very fond memories there.
