Thank you! Even though it’s a gooseneck, it’s not a huge trailer - 7x12, 12k gross I believe. I doubt I would need to winch anything as big and heavy as your 36” oak - if it’s that big I’m going to figure out how to load it hydraulically. LOL But the winch idea is a good one and something that I’m going to look into as I have time. Like I said already, I’m always very curious to see how others deal with their chores and challenges. I appreciate the information!
When are we going to get you hooked up with a hooker,,,,,,err i mean a wench, err a winch? LOL. Just kiddin, The hooker thing just popped into my head, it is a little like fishing for logs I have a new nickname for my trailer. I know you use/need a tractor on many of your jobs but maybe you’d like to go fishing on the job too
Hot dang! Heck of a score ya have going there! I’d definitely take all that I could. Heat wave is coming back next week down here so I’m still in the hold pattern. That massive stem going in the trailer . The only button I get to press to load those is a saw trigger. Hoard on!
Just pulling it out of the pile, getting it aimed in the right direction. Cut three 18” pieces off the back end then shoved it on.
Very functional I'm sure and a good idea! It is plain to see, however, that whoever done the welding,..done it themselves.
That’s being too kind LOL. Yep, bought a welder just for this job. My first welds,,,,,,problem is I havent improved with time at all. I might be having fun but I wont be making any money at it.
All in fun! In the end, if it works, it was all worth it! You have an excellent setup in your trailer...I'm jealous!
They even came up with an international symbol for my welding ability. Not sure if I’m famous or infamous?
But no I am not that sweet! that one cut 2 inch cookies about 30 sold them to weddings planner for Nashville $ here known as Stowe $$17.50 apiece she used the for wedding center pieces or some such thing..
That’s why I pulled that big log onboard as a first test. If it’s going to break do it now before I put all the tools away LOL
