I Wake for Locust!

T.Jeff Veal Your first pic above almost looks like young locust trees. I have lot of the young locust around me and it looks just like what you have.

 

Leaves look like it and the leaning tree is definitely BL. How close to you?

 

That dead leaner sure looks like BL. If it is, the wood should be fine unless ants have eaten it.

 

I'm sure it is. I've seen some NC. I was surprised when I saw it down here. Rode by a couple times hauling some oak, finally stopped.

 

10 miles or so. In the town where I work.

 

And we do have the big carpenter ants here. Hope I can get permission to see
