    We have Tulip Poplar out here...big blooms.....kinda Tulip-like, but pretty cool.
    Two lips are better than one.

    Your lucky round here I usually end up cutting out of a slash pile after the skidders have been in the woods.

    There was also a tree crew working a mile down the road clearing a field, I thought they were the ones that took down that wood but they were not, they said they took 20 some dump truck loads of Cottonwood out of there, well it was a field after they got done with it:D

    I know I try not to brag how good we have it here in the land shaped like a hand. Wouldn't want all you poor primo firewood deprived horders moving in!:rofl: :lol::thumbs:

    The neighbor up the road has one. Majestic trees it's a shame they don't make better firewood. Nice to look at tho.

    Thing is I would rather cut split stack and burn pine then Cottonwood

    Me too as messy as it is. Most pine rates higher on sweeps btu chart anyway.

    Pine is knoty to split but Cottonwood is so stringy takes awhile to get it done

    We had an office cat where I worked in the early/mid 1990's, it was named from the movie Dances with Wolves, little muzzle and whiskers were different colors, thus the name two-lips.
