One thing I found out years ago when I first broke my back, if I sit still too long, it just gets worse. Staying moving is better.

True, and riding in a car is one of the worse things for a bad back.

I completely understand, I never broke mine (bad motorcycle wreck)but have found I have to stay up and moving to keep it from hurting. Sitting around sets mine off like there is no tomorrow.

It's weird really.....it hurt like hell bucking that wood yesterday, but doing nothing would be worse. Explaining that to some folks (like my wife) is impossible. She would have me sit down and "rest up".

Yeah my wife quit arguing with me about it finally. There are times where I know if I sit down I won't be able to get back up. I did an entire HVAC install one Saturday and I told her if I sit down I will be down for good. Worked 12 hours that day but as soon as I sat down in the truck it was over...... I almost had to crawl to the house when I got home.

Well I've got a great son in law. Yesterday, he dared me to pick up a single stick of wood. He's a big ol' boy, so I listened pretty well. The saw was all I hefted.

My Sciatica is the same way. If I sit all day, it hurts like heck! But if I stay moving, it's not bad.

    Hope you feel better Randy.

My orthopedic surgeon says motion is lotion.
Walk. Even if it hurts. It will hurt less later.

    Hey Uncle Rob!

I had to make a mandrel from oak to spin the 090 jug. I didn't have any "normal" material large enough.
