You must want to go buck at least a few truckloads of it!! Stash it at your parents place out in the country!!
Sure I would & they wouldn't care, but its just over 2 hrs round trip not to mention loading the truck with a topper is slower & much more work.Wont hold as much either as open pickup.Would cost $40 round trip for gas, money is tight this month so far. Pretty sure some big tree service was hauling it off as part of the contract - seen a huge empty dump truck with grapple boom heading north on my street in early afternoon. I'll swing by there tomorrow & look again, will be surprised if any is left though.
That is a big monster for sure. Sometimes you can get em sometimes you can't that's the way it is, but you get some pictures
Handling and cutting up that size wood takes a lot of $ equipment. But if you are set up for it, that is a valuable find.
I can see not doing it then. My brother in law offered me some wood at someones house he knows they dont want it. I asked was it css, said no. I said no then its a 3 hr trip and all I could get it with would be a 4x8 utility trailer. I said now if I can bring a dump truck and they load me with a bodcat maybe.?? But probably not , I have way too much wood way closer to my house.
Looks like my hunch on Thursday afternoon was correct.Went by there later this afternoon & everything was gone, driveway was spotless. Glad I got those pics when I did....
That would have made a great day for a charity cut! Lots of BTUs in one place grouped together. There are several of the Iowa folks who have big hearts & would have jumped in to help. Sam-tip has the toys to move the chunks! Give the folks with the big saws a chance to play. But alas, sometimes folks don't think about this option & are impatient as well.
