    I don't know about others on the east coast but we get hemlocks and white pine that can get about 20" across and they are a nightmare to limb. Lodge pole your primary source of firewood?

    Yes Lodge pole are the dominate species where I live. we have a some firs and pondersoa's as well but mostly the lodge pole
