    He is located right along interstate 80. Cleans up lots of truck wrecks, been at it a long time, and insurance companies are usually paying the bill. Has a whole fleet of wreckers of various sizes, (only one of suitable size for this ). All are really nice rigs with fancy paint schemes, he knows the power of advertising! Ask 100 people in Lincoln county Nebraska to name a wrecker company & I bet over 80% would say Herbst towing. Sure hope we don’t have to call him in

    There is stuck and there is bad stuck. This one is bad, bad stuck! Glad I don't have to work on that one. Only one time did I have to get a cat out as it was buried up to seat level. Not fun at all. I hate mud.

    Well it’s out :banana::dancer:And basically under it’s own power. Just had to dig all around with a backhoe, then once the suction was broke it came out
    Got lucky

    The bigger the machine the deeper it sinks:D
    Nice job!!! it always amazed me how much that suction can fight you but just think about how hard it is to just walk in sticky black woods mud it will pull your boots off lucky you could get the backhoe close enough the only thing is when we do this kind of work it always can happen again because no matter what we just try to do that last little thing on the job:headbang:and it usually bites us :D JB

    Breaking the suction is probably 75% of the battle with something like that.

    Glad you were able to get it out without getting robbed by the tow company!

    Impressive that you could dig your way out of that...with the clay soil we have around here, if you bury one that deep it is going to take digging, maybe working some logs under the tracks, and 1 or more large machines to pull! :eek:

    Suction... No wonder you couldn't get out, you were trying to fight the weight of the entire atmosphere. Next time shove a pipe with an air compressor hose under it. :D
