That's a good reminder. I keep the serial number of all of my guns, buy never thought about writing it down for my power tools/toys. And while the guns are in a safe and relatively, ahem, safe, my tools are either sitting in my garage or shed and are just as, if not more, valuable.
I was thinking about this last night and my CRS syndrome took a turn for the better. I have seen that same truck before, the day that I was out playing with my new blower. Didn't give it very much thought at the time The guy came down the road and he was turning around and taking his sweet time doing it, and then drove off real slow. I remember thinking at that time that it was probably a scrapper looking for scrap, but it was the day after trash day. I'm not sure what he was doing down here at that time but I think he saw that nice blower, he wanted it, he came back and stole it, and grabbed the Gen while he was at it, he might have been scoping me out before he came and took the stuff. Ain't this some chit though.
If I'm outside and see a truck pull too far into my driveway and turn around, I pull out my phone and take a picture. I make sure they see me do it too.
I have a file of pictures of strange vehicles in the neighborhood. When I see a vehicle out of place or acting a bit strange, I try to get a picture. Also make sure they see me take the picture. Not a cure all but they know I have pictures .
Sorry to here about your stuff HD. I had to reply to this because I thought I was the only doing these things. It's funny, my wife gets a haircut I don't notice anything. Car drives by a mile an hour slower or someone walking by looks at my house a second longer than normal I notice. And always make eye contact when I do....
I'm at the end of a dead end, there is a turn around in front of my drive, so I have a fair amount of people turning around but, from now on if they are acting even a little strange I will snap a pic.
