I put up 2 unrelated items on C/L today, I never put a phone number on my ads but decided I would today I got 2 texts ( 1 for each item) less than a minute apart that reads exactly the same " I would love to buy it from you, am willing to pay by certified check will have my movers come pick it up after you must have cashed the check so text me the name and address you want on the check..Ben" sent from a Wyoming area code, goggled it and came back with nothing
I typically don't answer any call from an unknown number, but sometimes I do for entertainment I do at home. My greeting of "Internet Crimes Division, Simpson speaking" usually results in dead air.
