On another post I had my Zyliss vice that I picked up at an auction. There was so lacquer that spilled on the vice and on the threads. I had some starting fluid in an aerosol so I sprayed it on the hardened lacquer. Next, thing I knew I was slightly moving the screw. Let it set a few more minutes and some more spray and we were in business. Maybe, you guys knew this but I didn't. I mean it cleaned all the residue and it is working like new.
