    Cool idea.
Do you take your splitter out in the woods, what do you put in that box?

We haven't done anything to ours all winter but we need to get the table done soon. I will keep you updated as things happen. We did build a bucking stand but my cutting partner got rammy and it needs to be redone just like when he welded the hubs on the splitter.

The old as me 5hp Briggs on my buddies didier splitter can literally be spun over with one finger. But yet, it still runs. It just takes a few pulls before it will start when cold, and now we know why.

So, will a predator motor bolt up to the engine mount like a Briggs?

He doesn't think things through before he starts doing. He welded the hubs on the splitter axle so the tires were toed together. I told him to make sure then to weld the axle on so they will toe up or down but instead he welded it on so they were toed into each other. Did travel very well. Now he fixed it and it's much better.

The pump should bolt to the engine. He may have to drill new holes to bolt the eninge to the splitter.

My guess is a few wrenches, a quart of oil, maybe a plug and wrench, as well as some grease to put on the wedge and beam?? Maybe a cold beverage? ;)

Add felling wedges, a stump vise and a Granberg flippy file guide and you have my bucket contents.

Here is the contents of the tool box. The tape measure was free at HF and so were the screwdrivers. The locking pliers are from HF and so is the socket tool. I was going to get an adjustable wrench but they did not have one in the store that would fit in the box.

Not yet. I gotta get a holder for the 4 way wedge then I may add a hatchet holder and a sappie holder. I would also like to to have a place put a my MS170 in case something needs trimmed. I have a feeling. I am not going to have enough room at add all that stuff.

For those interested in one of these splitters, HF has a coupon out in the flyer right now to get one for 679.99.
I still love mine and find there isn't anything it can't split yet.

I forgot to show the pics of the 4 way wedge with longer wings. I did all the cutting with a portaband. I am hoping to get to use the splitter some this week.
