I broke a nail!

Hay, if they are paying, get it checked out. Should something nasty set it, they could deny the cost related to you having ignored it after you were advised to get it attended to. Best not take or add risks.

Yup, she's gonna be pretty swollen tomorrow morning. My weird nail from shatter in the tip of my thumb with a 4lb mini sledge is about a month from coming off....

 

yuck - get it x-rayed especially if the company is paying for it. Hope you file an accident claim immediately in case of future problems.

 

Well i made it through the night without the finger falling off. It did wake me up a few times when I bumped it. The throbbing hasnt gone away that's for sure. I think I'll go get the xray today like yall said just in case it is broke. Don't worry Woodwidow we filled out an accident report. I was the first injury on the boss's shift this year

 

There goes the safety award........................I hear ya on the throbbin'........................Take care of it.

 

Be prepared for the lesson on, "What I could have done to prevent this from happening" Your boss has to answer to that, and provide a corrective action. Been there, done that!

 

yeah, work can be funny I am off for a week. was carrying 60 pound box that aren't supposed to be over 40. a girl (no offense she was little) said she couldn't lift it so I grabbed it and carried it over got it on table and someone had dropped a pen on floor.. sure enough I stepped on it and fell down... not a big deal.. knee popped out happens few times a year no ACL... I popped it back it and went on break... came back in and they were all... you need to go to ER.. some one got nausea from sound.. my response... I'm fine.. I'm not nauseous what problem? They made me fill out 6 hours of paper work. I was like listen I got a bad knee you can't fix it... it is good..


They wanted me to say I knew box was heavy box was a lot lighter then rounds I put on splitter... it's all good my orthopedic sent a letter his knee is what it is his prescription a couple of shots and tape it.... he's a good doctor!

 

Oh yea we already had that talk. He wants to toss the job box into the scrap dumpster now that he found out it wasn't purchased by the school. Shouldn't have even been on the property lol.

Spent 4hrs at the workmans comp doctor today. It's starting to look a little more gross than yesterday but thankfully no break. Just a spur on the bone.

 

Well you should be able to take tool box home no? my great uncle kept the old hand crank milk separator from farm as it took part of his ring finger he kept it in barn for years put his truck keys in the bowl... hated that darn thing I will buy it from his nephew in a few years...

 

Glad to hear no broken bones!! A couple of days of bacitracin ointment and a band-aide should get you through it. Let the nail do it's thing.
