Ok, they brought the stove, I have taken out the old one and set it aside. My nephew called. said he might come over to help tonight or tomorrow. So for now, the furnace is running.

I see a stove without fire.

We deduct points for that around here.

Other than that it looks good.

thanks, my problem is that getting down and back up is a major, and very uncomfortable, (painful) effort. If I could get down an stay there until I was done, fine, but this up and down stuff is more thank I can deal with right now. I tore something in my pelvic area when I fell on the ice. I need to get it checked out to find out what it is.
I really am anxious to have the stove hooked up. I had to start the K1 heater to help out. I am counting that before the weekend is over, the stove will be running and I should have some decent pics to send.
Rocky's had some nice nickeled trim kits, and a soapstone incert for the face of the ash bin. I didn't get trim because it won't run better and they trim cost a few hundred. Cost was already enough for me.
One other good thing came of this. I had to clean up my desk, in the process, I came across all my tax forms! Now they are together so I can make an appointment to get them out of the way.

Ok, we have fire,:) we also have asphyxia from the paint burning off and about every smoke detector in the house is going off . Nephew came over and was able to get everything connected, high temp silicone, and high temp tape. Man, that smell is awful! I am grateful to have a nephew that is a stove tech. At least this way I know I won't get the bum's rush. He took the time to go over the stove with me so I have more information. I still will watch the DVD provided. At least few times, I want to make damm sure I do it right. Thanks for the support from all of you. It was a major move for me that your encouragement helped push me to get moving on something that really needed to be done for a long time now.

Thanks, I am not surprised that you can feel the heat in MA. It was roaring like I hadn't seen in a pellet stove. That didn't bother my nephew . He has the same stove. I have a table fairly near the stove that was getting fairly warm so I moved it out of the way. The air is starting to clear, and the smell, well, seems to be stuck in my nose.
Let's see how we get through the night.
