I hope you can adjust the pattern for the adirondack chairs. They should be named "restraint chairs" because they are too hard to get out of. With some adjustments, the rear can be raised enough and the height adjusted so us older folks can get out of them without assistance. Chairs don't need a fancy saw, but if you have other plans and really intend to use it, then indeed, get the saw that fits your needs. There are always good used tools for sale. Men die off and the wife sells off the equipment. Usually still in good shape, just not new. I once had a band saw handed down in the family. I had to get blades made up for them. I don't know if that service is still available. I bought a new one, very inexspensive but good for my needs.
Yes Larry daughter made 1 her 8th grade year, told her shop teacher I’d buy it but needed to be higher back was raised 5” pretty easily
I haven’t sold any lately but I plan on making pieces all winter and assemble them in the Spring. I sold 26 this year and I think I can sell even more next year. They tend to sell themselves once people see them. Thanks for asking sir!
Ok. I made the first bowl blank on the new bandsaw.. But I'm seeing sparks coming off the ceramic guides. Is that (somewhat) normal, Dale? Jack Straw
Cut my first bowl blank and a slab of maple i had laying here from noodling a bowl blank with the chainsaw. I cut thin layers to make a clean face then resawed the plank to make some pretty boards. Man! I love this bandsaw! I shoulda bought it years ago! Oh. And I made a push stick too. Thanks for that recommendation, Dale!
