Thanks for the feedback! I too have looked longingly at the 17-18+" bandsaws. But, from what you are saying, I thing that the Laguna would be PLENTY for what I do. I'm going to keep my eyes out for sales...
oh and just as justdraftn said watch the video in fact throw away the assembly manual and type in laguna and model in YouTube and watch it while assembling. it is SO MUCh better plus you can see how to adjust the ceramic bearings.
Surely can't answer to that.. but the circular does show that the sale starts on 7/2-7/6 While supplies last
Jack Straw - you gonna see if they’ll throw in a complimentary Bandsaw logo’d FT? I’m sure yours is worn out by now......
I called the Woodcraft store in West Springfield MA (their closest store). They didn’t have the 1412 saw, but it was on sale and they ordered one for me. I got the saw, the wheel bracket and the single light for $1300 with tax! Not too shabby. Thank you so much for the replies. I really respect your opinions. I’ll always remember this thread when I’m using my bandsaw. Hopefully it will be for many years.
Congrats! This is, for me, the most fun tool I have ever owned/used. The possibilities are endless. Can't wait to see your projects.
Thank you! I’m trying to figure out which finger will get cut off. I’m guessing the ring finger, that would be the most painful.
Thank you TurboDiesel ! Yesterday I made the 2 hour trip to West Springfield MA. to the Woodcraft store. The folks at that store couldn’t have been nicer. Last week they emailed me and said my saw wouldn’t be in until October. Thursday they called me and said the saw had come in. They had no idea how it got there. The light I purchased didn’t come in and they said they would ship it to me. If anyone does woodworking Massachusetts check out their store, it’s awesome. I’ll post some pics when I get it up and running.
Congrats! on your new toy. Don't even joke about this. Here are a few of my finger savers. Don't go near a running saw without them. This is my own design. Use this for any small stuff.
