my property has a pretty good slope and it does ok when DRY. if it is damp you will slide, as far as I have heard all the zt's are traction challenged
I have read on the internet where bad boy has shipped parts to customers with no local dealers. you would need to be somewhat mechanical though to do the repair. also with that being said I have not read of many issues with them
All ZTs are not created equal when it come to running on hills, especially sidehilling. If you look at many of the commercial units, you will notice they have more of a square wheel base and are much heavier. The cheaper unit are often more rectangular wheel base (long and narrow) and will slide off a hill easily. Test drive a cheapy and then a good commercial unit back to back to get a good comparison...night and day. I really noticed the difference after mowing a time or two with my Hustler and then getting back on my Toro...yuck. Don't get me wrong, Toro makes some fine machines, I just made a bad model choice on mine
actually the BB's are supposedly built on the square, true zero turn pattern. it side hills ok, when I notice it the most is diagonal on the hill.
Thanks for the offer, but I have to stick to 54" and under for it to fit in my shed. Would love to get a bigger shed/barn at some point, but not now.
I know what you're saying. I can't fit a 5' mower thru a 4' gate. And then I'd be done mowing in about three minutes
Got the mower back on Tuesday afternoon. Diagnosis was a plugged up carb and fuel filter. Not so sure about the filter part of that because the filter is clear, and really didn't look bad. Not gonna complain too loud, given that they picked it up, fixed it, and brought it back for less than $150. I'm good with that. Either way, it's running again. Gonna keep it for awhile I guess. The dealer that fixed it for me also sells Hustlers, and I had my eye on a raptor SD, but he said my mower would only be worth $700 on a trade. It's worth double that to me, so I'm gonna hang onto it for a few more years.
