So far it seems much better than the fiskars. Too bad the price isn't a little less. I'm sure that will turn a lot of people off from it.

I wish it had a longer handle. I got rid of my X25 because the 27-28" handle was to short for splitting on the ground.

I'm 6' and my dad is 5'8" and both of us preferred it over the fiskars.

Got an S2800 myself. Really like it. This is my 3rd splitting tool - Fiskars X27, then Fiskars Iso-Core 8# Maul and now the Husqvarna S2800.

I'm 6'1" and split on a stump. I really like the S2800 over the X27 - I feel like I'm getting cleaner, more accurate splits. I guess the real question is if I prefer a ~28" axe, is the Husqvarna worth 2.5x the price of Fiskars X25? I don't know - I like the Husqvarna a lot, but the price is kinda steep vs. the tools that Fiskars offers.

I just watched Freakingstangs u tube vid on comparing the X27, S2800, and Stihl pro.
My interest was peaked by this thread to pick up the Husky 2800 right up untill I saw it in action. For the $80 something they cost, I don't see it being worth it.
I already have the x25 and the Stihl Pro and love both.

After using the S2800 more, I'm running into it getting "stuck" in the round way too often. For larger rounds, I use the Fiskars Iso-Core Maul to break it up....then switch to the S2800 or X27. But I'm finding lately that if it's a medium size round, the S2800 will just stick itself in the round...and it will take considerable effort to remove it. I'm not sure if this is due to the head design. For smaller rounds, no issues. It really depends on the wood though. Below is some maple that the S2800 just carved up beautifully.

I think I'm going to switch to the X27 again for any medium sized rounds...getting the S2800 stuck just kills my productivity. But basically, this kinda curbs my enthusiasm about the S2800 - can't really recommend it anymore.

I bought a Husqvarna Axe last year at The Paul Bunyan show. A2400 I believe? Think I paid $60? Haven't used it much yet. Bought mainly for driving wedges. The poll on them is nice.
