Jeffrey Svoboda After 5 years away I still feel the flat rate sting. I completely understand what you are saying. I have tried to explain it to lots of people, they just don’t get it.
Boss tried to get me to go flat rate one time...I said hex no brother, I see all the work you give away at the service desk now! (Jobs that didn't go well, turn into time suck, customer complains, no upcharge for all the extra work put into your old "barn find" POS!)
That’s exactly the point. I’m happy to help the people I want to but, when the boss man says your gonna do this without pay because xyz. That ain’t cool.
