but of course!!! I stopped playing the lottery many, many years ago. Don't care if the jackpot is $1,000,000,000,000,000,000 I'm not buying a ticket. Id rather buy myself a coffee To me the lottery is a tax you're happy to pay.
Pretty cool how that came out. What are the odds! And I have to ask, do you still have the 257, didn’t see it in your sig line but wondered. They were pretty good saws, no? I’ve never owned an older 2series but I’ve run plenty at gtg’s. A well ported 262 is a mighty saw.
I don't either but once or twice a year. It's worth the cost of admission to dream once in a great while. That said, no one hit last night so tomorrow night I have another shot. (I forgot to throw away my money last night.) So, since I know you're not playing... my odds will go WAY up tomorrow! I'll def buy you a 564 if I hit now since you have gone out of your way to help me win... LMAO...
I sold the 257 along with one my step dad bought at the same time. (They were discontinued and the local dealer was blowing out their stock at a discount.) Got decent money for both but in hindsight they would have been cool to keep. Still ran like new with just homeowner use....
I just sold mom's TRX300FW that was bought new in 1997. I didn't realize how collectable they are now. I thought she would just get a few hundred and she got 2k which was over the listing price and I had nearly 100 people messaging me on it!
Back in that era Honda made no bad models, just some were good, some were great! Almost all of the models from back then are commonly seen for sale used, still running good! (Prices are getting a little crazy on some models though!)
They sure are! Hers was far from perfect but I was told after I could have sold it for more. They were 5200 new and to sell almost 30 years later for 2k is absurd. They are reliable as hell but compared to a modern machine are pretty incapable. They will just keep running while the modern more capable units are in for service...LOL That said, my old cars are in the same boat. You can buy a new "muscle" car that will out perform a restored classic for a lot less. But meh... I like the noise, violence, and oil drips in the garage...
There is definitely something to be said for horsepower you can feel through vibrations. 455 Pontiac comes to mind lol
That was MSRP IIRC. I'm sure you could buy them for less. I just tried searching on the net but the Google machine is failing me. I found one reference to them being $5399 but not sure if it's accurate. I thought my parents paid 5k for a new one and 4500 for a barely used one with a winch back then. You've got me curious now. I'm going to have to text my brother and see if he remembers as he's the one who went to the dealer to negotiate the new one for them...
I like the 400.1. Seems like that will be a 60cc beast. In other countries they have a ms363, a standard carb version.
If want the faster 2 stroke version, it's about 1/2 hour from me. If ya buy it I'll even let you keep it here for as long as you want. https://www.facebook.com/share/1DL6JLbqkk/
Anyone who pays that has no intention of using it to half it's potential or even getting it dirty. Lol.
Probably just a tactic to get someone to buy. Kinda like your discount of xx% will expire in so many days.
