I wish...... i already have a 50 cc saw that runs great and I really need a larger saw in the 70cc range. How well will that saw pull a 24" bar as that would be my determining factor. I wonder if it would be a big performance difference my 50cc to the 60cc saw. Actually I know it would, but I just wonder if it would be enough for me to be happy.

In all likelihood, no adjustments would ever be needed... Can you buy the software? Yes... How much is it? I don't know...
    Yes, it's an autotune...

That last one is a pretty tough question...
    Are you a Husky fan?
Which 50 cc saw are you currently using? Has it been modified??

    It's a step up from a 50cc for sure but it's no 440/460/372Xp/576XP.

562XP isn't a substitute for a 70cc saw but if money is tight it will pull a 24" bar reasonably well. I would want something smaller for everyday use however. 18" and a 24" would be a killer combo for the 562.

The comment on the 562XP Anti-vibe is right on. It is unreal how smooth that saw runs.

    I run a 20" TecLite on my 562.
Ole' certified could just rustle up a Dolmar 7900 and run whatever bar he wanted...
Then there's the stock vs ported dilema... :emb:

Ported 562XP wearing a 20" Techlite (best 1 bar solution IMO) is a tree's worst frigging nightmare.

Light, zippy, and all kinds of power for that 20". But it's still not going to pull big bars like another 15ccs would. ;)

    True...
    So here is the dilema...
How big of a saw does Certified need??? That's just hard to answer...
    I got a ported 9010 with a 36" on it, and a ported 385 with a 28"...
I like em' alot, but they don't get used nearly as much as the 79er or the 562...
Sure are nice when I need em though...
The ported 562 runs a 24" and oils it with little effort, but I know alot of guys don't do the ported saw thing..
So Certified has a tough decision to make...
    Maybe a 372XPW???
I got one of those too... They pretty nice... Not cheap though...

I had a 359 and bought a 346xp. After using them and really thinking about it, there was too much overlap to keep that pair together. Sold the 359 and bought the 576xp. I run a 2o as the standard on the 576, but have a 28 for he big boys. It pulls the 28 just fine. Can I bog the saw in a big oak tree? Sure. Could I bog the 346 with a 16 in. bar? Sure. Bottom line is the 576 is plenty of saw to run a 28 inch bar from time to time. If you want to run it with a 28 all the time and really need that length, you should go to a bigger saw.

Between $200-250 . Depends on how much of a break the dealer will give you .

The 576xp is the dog's ballacks of saws. Smooth as glass too. I may pick one up on CL here this weekend. I had one briefly before I bought a 372xpw, and like the 372 it as an inboard clutch.

Do I need It though?

Ok I'm not gonna derail this thread any further than I have, lol.
Could I get by with a 60cc saw most likely would i wish I had something a bit bigger at times most likely........
I had been thinking of a a different 70-75cc saw for quite a while now and last night decided to pull the trigger on one should be shipping as soon as we get the payment thing worked out.
It's orange an white but I still think it will get along with my Husky 450. Hope it doesn't try to eat it night for a snack though.

Well, any addiction involved with burning things requires paraphernalia...
