Congrats on the new saw HoneyFuzz!!! I had one and it was a good cutting little saw....far from "homeowner".

buying, fixing selling and trading are a profession... it takes time.. lol

ok, since I haven't ran a 562/555, what the direct comparison to a sithl? 361/2 weight and 440 power? would like to run one, but not sure I can justify one with two strong 372's and a 046...

My 562 is ported, so that as a grain of salt. But it's got a real good feel, balance, weight to it. It's got pretty good cut to it also. I'd
go with it's kinda of in the weight class of a lower class 50 & a mid to upper power end of the 60 class. I really like mine, but the only thing that I can't get to liken' is that darn clutch system that they put on that thing. It's a pain for me to get into the process of changing the bar & chain. Thusly is why I really prefer my 034/036/362 over it. I'm just so glad that my 576xp came with the other clutch system. Otherwise I'd be in the same boat as with the 562xp.

You have a point regarding the lack of ease installing bar/chains on the outboard clutch. I have a simple solution that makes life very easy in this regard. I almost never change chains in the field anymore. If you need to touch up with a file, so be it. If a chain needs to be changed, i.e. sharpened on grinder, just grab another saw. Removal of the B/C is pretty easy on the bench at near chest level.

I haven't run a 555 but feel they are quite a value. I am on my 2nd 562XP. I cut about 25 full cord with it and traded it for a "G" model. The dealer commented, "I didn't think you ran a saw this much" when I brought it in.:saw:

I have no explanation for this, but the 2nd 562XPG does seem even stronger than the first as if the programming was slightly more aggressive?

A stock 562xp is very impressive for a 60cc saw! The 555 is not far behind and $100-150 less for same pro quality.

That said, I like my ported 346xp & 357xp mo better. Just a little more wow factor I guess.

ok... that's what I figured, I remember everyone raving when they came out, but haven't followed the hype. when they came out people said 372/440 power in a 036/359 sized and weight frame. I need to get my 359/357 hybrid back together. Its a mini 372..... lol

The 562 beats all stock 60cc saws & is close to 70cc saws in power, but lighter/smaller.
I enjoy running the ported 357xp more & am building two 359s this winter...
    I ordered a new oem 357 P&C for one of the 359s'yesterday. :)

I know my Big Dave Neiger woods ported 357xp used to win almost every gtg and fair race in it's class. Unless I messed up operating it.

1 time even the 65cc under ported class with a pin hole in the fuel line that happened at the gtg. Funny listening to Brad saying I almost got you this time. I then showed him the mix peeing under the cover. I was like well that sure is something to be proud of  . You almost beat a wounded saw.

Testing off the reel oregon CL in very dry cant.

    Update !!!
So you guys know the new 545 hates Ash. Heres more proof :). 6th tank through it. Running better and better. Actually gaining more throttle response.... And clearer top RPM's. It personally is such a good all around firewood saw.... That it extends the amount of work a fella can do before he gets pooped out :) image.jpg image.jpg
