    I'm considering buying a Husqvarna 439 with a 14" bar . Any experience with this saw good or bad ?

    Just my $ .02... less money gets a MS250 with 50% more HP, unless that 2lbs. is more important.

    I'm in my retirement years that extra 2 lbs is important when limbing .

    You betcha! Push the button and it runs. Great for gardening and cutting up blocks for the wood boiler.

    Nice looking saw . I still use my 1998 136 if and when I need a really light saw . It's about 1 1/2 pounds heavier than this saw and .2 hp more power . Have 12" - 16" setups and all work great but it really shines with the 12" . I cut mostly hardwoods with the occasional cedar , hackberry, and gum . When I need more power my MS261CM is almost double the HP and still is under 11 pounds for the power head .

    Congrats! I was curious about this saw and almost bought one but wanted more HP. Got the 550xp with a 16 instead. Love it so far.

    There profiles are fairly similar. I am sure it fells good in the hands too.
