Husqvarna 372 clutch removal.

I wanted to swap clutches to see if that is some of my problem with chain spin. Well maybe more like swapping clutch springs. I know how to remove a clutch but do I have to remove the clutch to remove the springs?

 

never tried to install springs with an installed clutch. always pulled them off.

 

OK that's all I needed to know. Clutch comes off to replace springs. I will just swap clutches in that case from my parts saw.

 

I replaced the springs on the 038mag without pulling the clutch off. Wasn't too bad, but it was a tight squeeze getting them in and out.

 

Did it have what you traditionally would call a spring? The husky has springs shaped like a "C". I grabbed them with pliers but they did not budge.

 

These were coil springs. I overlooked that the thread was about a husky.
