It was missing paint uniformly around the entire bar...she's been hot, multiple times I would say. The saw has a channel for oiler port and I'm guessing that the lack of a port and the chewed up bar plate allowing the oil to gravity drain below the mount are the contributing factors. Will find out if the oiler is actually pumping when I get back to it. She's just been heavily neglected and abused. Hopefully the cost to get it back into shape will prompt the owner to care for it better.
Good luck in saw rehab. Funny - I can sell one of these Husky 36 to 142 saws for $110 after refurb. 1990-2005 42cc Poulans sell for $65. The biggest difference = one says Husky, one don't.
The A041 has a slightly narrower tail profile than a K041, and was designed for Homeowner/ Consumer saws, and in the shorter bar lengths is used on top handle, and pole pruners. As previously mentioned this type of mount does oil through the unused adjuster hole. If you are looking for a new replacement, I'd strongly suggest you check Left Coast Supplies, as they have GB Arbor Tech combos for very low prices.
