Well, I guess so? Can surely tell the difference between 3/8-20 and .325-18! The saw is a little front heavy now, but not terribly. The extra reach is nice! The saw cut smoothly and has enough power for the larger setup, but you can't be ham fisted with it like the .325...requires a little more finesse. I only got to make a couple cuts in a 18" Poplar and some small junk on one of the trails. I will run it some more and see how it goes. Bonus for this setup is that I also run .050 3/8 20" on my Jonnyshreds, so now I can share chains between the two of them if need be.
Here is a photo comparing .325/7 vs 3/8-7 pin sprocket sizes. I think a 6 pin would be awesome for the 3/8, but cannot find any.
