Husky 51 leaking bar oil

    The long aluminum part with the hole... the oil feed tube is behind that hole. IF the tank vent is ok, you can put a small amount of sealant so they stay in contact with each other which should prevent seepage. Again, assuming the vent is working right.
    I use 2 straight screwdrivers in those slots to remove the pump. Takes a little fiddling the first time till you get used to it. Here is a pic I found with it removed to show what you seal up.

    Where would the tank vent be located? Sry to just jump in but I have a 353 leaking pretty good.

    my Triumphs are 1952 and older, 1952 Trophy 500, 1950 Thunderbird, 1949 Speed twin they leak, dry sump hahahahaha

    Here is the manual on the 50/51/55. It shows the oil pump removal (i think pg 28). Found more specific 55 manual too.

    I used to get bent out of shape with my first 346XP leaking oil. I now just put a piece of carpet or two layers of heavy hardboard under it and accept it. We sealed it once and it still leaked.

    Now if it's not leaking, it's out of oil.:whistle:
