Good luck everyone. Make sure you're stocked up on beer and TP too.

Hard to like any of the posts that talk about flooding and wind storms. Hope all of you stay safe through this.

Same here. If the road floods down the road, it will be a corker. I got plenty of MRE's, water, batteries etc. Just hope the trees don't uproot.

Same here, if my house floods, I'm looking for Noah, but we still had 4 inches in 48 hours... soon got to lower the pool for winter again:jaw: but get prepared and
    stay safe

The governor of Jersey said we don't know what the hurricane will do yet, but prepare for it. Let's deal with this Nor'easter first! :hair:

At least this thing is taking a more westerly track. In this case with the cooler waters up this way, it will decrease significantly in strength. New models show the center of the track in mass,ct,ri as a tropical storm

Food shopping this week will be items that do not need refrigeration. We'll put up extra water, have extra bread and pbj on hand. I'm glad we had the big Norway maple taken out that was next to the house. No one is in panic mode yet around here. Stay safe everyone, it looks to be wicked bad.

Upgraded to Category 4, sustained winds 130 mph.

I thought "upgrades" are supposed to be a good thing.

Yes it will be. There is already talk of beach erosion and seawalls being compromised on shore roads.

One thing that I concerns me is that trees are still full of leaves. Heavy rain combined with winds will cause outages.

I think I will jump at any opportunities locally. I'd be more than happy to help a neighbor out and score some fuel.
