She sends me to the doghouse. A nice blind like that stored in the backyard would be much nicer digs. Much warmer also!
I have wondered if I should anchor it down to the ground. Mine seems so stable but you never know with Mother Nature!
Because I don’t want to see my wagon wheels off the ground and the forecast calls for 20mph winds with 40-60mph gusts tomorrow, I decided to anchor my hunting blind down. I used 3”x15” earth anchors, by no means is this overkill. I hope it helps keep everything in place.
I built a new trailer for my mobile hunting blind. I used an old anhydrous tank running gear. Welded up a frame for the blind and a deck. I set the blind out last weekend to get ready for the gun season opener. Here it is now.
What area do you hunt? Generally speaking..... I used to pick up those very short wood cutoffs split them and carry them in an old corn sack to the blind for my fuel. Probably nothing longer than 4". I would also pick up sticks on the walk in to the blind for starting the fire.
I am located in the central lower peninsula. Believe it or not, this stove will fit an 11” “log”, just barely.
