If your doing lots of bucking over 24" The P61 would be ideal.
One setting I was chasing ( chaser is the guy on the ground at the tower . Unbelling chokers, making and shipping haywire coils , bucking and bumping knots And painting and branding. )
I was chasing under a 90'tube Berger yarder. A real bluffy setting. ( lots of rock bluffs , 100' high or more. The fallers had air scaled as much as they could get over the bluffs. Nice timber. Had lots of tree length. Sitka spruce and Western hemlock coming into the landing. . I was falling way behind on the limbing and bucking with the P42 28" b+c. . I called a friend in town and had him send one of my 2100 Huskies out on the plane. Side Rod set me up with a new 36" Oregon + 52 AJ . Full skip 404. I got the cold deck bucked up for loading out by the end of the first day . And did all the chasing. Had an awesome shovel operator running the Bucyrus30 B line shovel . And a good yarder engineer. Made my life a lot easier. Horrible hooktender tho.
Anyway, a 6 cube power head has Lots more authority than 4 or 5 cubes. . I've run my 655 Poulan pro's alongside my 2100 Huskys. Pretty identical performance.
    Anyway food for thot.

    Evening all. How's You ?
