Took this while in the PNW. Leave a decent hinge. Almost all the trees I saw that were dropped were the same cuts.
I've had the opposite experience lol I bought this place 4 year's ago. 4 acres house and barn/workshop. Stumps surrounding me were terrifying. Turned out an old farmer 86-year-old or so has been butchering tree's here all his life. Amazing he never got hurt. i started dropping tree's for him and he gives me all the tree's i want to cut. Check these out.
