Am going to put the square grind on the 026 tomorrow at work. May work over / practice on the chain that’s currently on it. I can have one to look at while filing.
I'd try and get the cutter straight up and down. Not leaning so much forward like the ones your dealer ground. Hard to tell from pics tho...they may be fine in pine
I'd try what he ground, I guess. See if you like it. If so, you can duplicate his angles, and after 3 or 4 filings, he can square them back up for you. But I think once you get the hang of it, you'll find that straight up and down is smoother.
Trying my best, its always nice if it stays but it usually turns into slushy very quick. Id say this is the wettest year for the last 10 and it doesnt seem to get any better. Lots of corn is still standing.
That's part of the fun I reckon. What I've gleaned from others & my own experiences is a little lean is ok & will make it self feed better. Too much robs power & combined with the angles you get with the lean dulls faster. Better to have a little beak than too much lean. Your results may vary.
