Lol. I got a few things done today. Managed to get 4 of my smaller wagon loads of maple in the basement. Weather man said the cold is coming, so we're going to go gang busters tomorrow and pack as much as possible in there. I put that old heater out by the road and within an hour or so, a scrapper stopped by and asked for it. I gladly helped him load it.
I need to brag about one of my kids. Apparently todays hockey tournament was also secret tryouts. Tommy a defensemen had 3 games. Two were against the #1 seed for the state, and the third was against the age group 11-13 year olds Tier 3 team. T scored in all three games. They won their games. He is now also playing for the Delta Junction School tournament team. There are a hand full of the teams in the state, they are umbrella below USA Hockey intended for grooming players for Team USA. They also travel internationally to play, representing both Team USA and Alaska in their age bracket. The coaching staff approached his mom after the first game, and had a meeting with the details and offered a slot on the team. Most of the slots were not filled until after the completion of all 3 games. Tommy was the first player selected! Coaches told mom that he is the only natural ability defensemen for his age, they have seen in excess of 5 years. They have been keeping tabs on him, the last 2 years. They shared his scouting folder, with stats. Today has been a really special, super proud!
lol sharpened a chain got a leaf blower running visited with a couple friends and took a cylinder off a saw to be sold i didnt get a nap today so i wasnt completely slacking
lol almost there tomorrow helping a buddy move a pool table and look at a downed tree to play with saws in and make firewood
Thanks, he wont realize for a while what a honor this really is. They have at least 2 tournaments in Canada against Team Canada.
Going to make one last dash at some firewood tomorrow, going to load up a friends trailer and pile up what's left over and throw a tarp over it, in case someone needs some later. Winter is comin' around the bend... Hopefully no more firewood until spring time other than shoving it in the boiler.
