I'm guessing I've burned right at 1/2 cord. A good portion of that has been chunks/uglies/shorts so I'm not too broken up about it. I haven't fired up the Daka yet so that's helped keep the usage down a fair amount. Let the Lopi go cold yesterday and gave it a through cleaning and checked the chimney (I was actually looking for my secondary burn air inlet , which didn't materialize. ) and everything looks to be good to go for the rest of the winter. Since the Daka hasn't been running and the basement t-stat is set at 64° the LP furnace has been running on and off but it looks like I've barely gone through 25 or 30 gallons so far. Once the Daka is fired up that'll drop to near zero (DHW usage only). Oh and I'm in the same boat as KaptJaq; once I start burning I have a hard time letting her go cold since everyone get's used to the 75-80° temps in the living room!
Been burning since beginning of Oct. and have burned around 1 cord. Like others here my wife and son like it warm. Also I work from home now so I pretty much burn 24/ 7 most of the time.
Been burning since Nov 1 and gone through about 1/2 a cord already. Its been a cold November. Mostly white pine, but I have burned some cherry on a few overnights. I'm already doing the math to make sure I'm not on pace to run out of wood again. I should be ok. I have about 4.5 more cords ready to burn this winter.
We haven't gone through our first half cord yet but with 3"-5" of snow coming on Wednesday, we're going to top off the garage tomorrow. Bring it back up to a full half cord.
Addendum...................probably burned between 2/3rds and 3/4 cord so far. Save for the real cold a couple weeks ago, it's not been too bad around here yet.
