    A neighbor,and a few other folks have asked us how much we need, when they look at the stacks at our place.
    Sometimes I explain that oak takes 3 years or more, and at 7 cord a year, yeah thats a lot of wood.
    Other times, I feel its a waste of breath to explain.
    As far as we are concerned, more is better always: against the year I don't/can't cut, someone else's need, or I just reach a critical mass and just cut one year's worth each season to keep that critical mass met.
