Under 2 so far, maybe 1 1/2-1 2/3 cords. I'm pulling off multiple stacks so can't nail it down exactly. End of the season when all those stacks are empty I'll count.
No rounding. That's how much I burned. Seriously. My wood shed rows are 9' long x 5' tall x 1.5' wide (18" splits) and I burned 3.5 rows. Or 1.845 cord
I would guess I'm in the 1.5 - 2 range. I burned a lot on those really cold days 2 weeks ago. About 2 wheel barrow loads a day.
I'm a little Anal when it comes to stacks, measurements, etc... Don't know if anyone noticed My workbench is another story. It's a mess. But I want to know exactly how much wood and pellets I have burned. This is my 3rd winter with my wood eater and pellet furnace. I had just the freestanding pellet stove upstairs for 3 yrs prior to those. The last 2 yrs ( or first 2 yrs? However you wanna look at it) withe wood eater, I only burned 2.5-3 cord and just around 2 ton of pellets. But the last 2 years have been very mild. This year, I have already broke the 2 ton mark and almost 2 cord. This cold weather is making me burn some fuel! ! And I LIKE IT!! Finally get to stretch the furnaces and 30-NC's legs. Plus, I opened up the basement a lot more this year and we have been spending a lot of time down there, so the 30 has been getting a work out. And we like it warm too..
I've been moving all my wood from the old place to the new so it's hard to say but I'm estimating 1.5-1.75 cords so far. Just moved 3 cords over yesterday with 3 more to still to move.
It's normally a tad warmer downstairs than upstairs. But on the weekend, the door is left open and the air exchange is faster. So temps throughout are about 75°-76°. Or perfect in my opinion. (Downstairs stat)
Thanks guys! It's feeling more and more like home. We just sold our old house so it will help once we get all of our stuff over to the new place.
Just over two cords of lodgepole pine burned here, and about 1/4 cord of that was burned out in the shop stove. Lots of days we been letting the fire in the house stove go right out in the morning and not re-lighting it until after supper. Not trying to be cheap, I just don't care for it that warm in the house all the time, but it does save us a lot of wood. Maybe when I get to be an old man I'll want more heat. But for now anything much over 21 C (70 F) in the house and I start getting sleepy. Also I enjoy the fire more if there's a chill in the house when I start the fire.
I don't think I'm living right... I've blown through over 6 cord already... Feeding 3 units though, so maybe not so bad...
