Value of my sanity through therapy of wood cutting and thinning my woods out equals $2,222.20 per cord. That leaves my .02. Which I just gave to you. Wait. Now I'm broke. :picard:That's where I started before I started burning! :sherlock:

But I'm happy, and warm. And when the Bohemuth, Colossal, Mega, Super, Gigantic storm of the galactic year hits. I'll still be happy and warm.:fire:

have never had free firewood beyond and rare yard tree down, but on my end, the one writing the monthly checks for bills, we are 1/2 of what we used to spend, or almost $2k ahead per year.

They "hyped up" the tropical storm from Japan, "Nuri",
gonna be so bad, but got nothing here.

Has been pretty warm since though,
worse for the lower 48 than it was for Alaska.
Maybe it created the "Polar vortex"

I ended up giving a guy $600 bucks for logs this year mixed wood. After C/S/S we ended up with 41 cords. Between dad and I we just couldn't get a head so now we are finally ahead of it so next year won't be such a push.

I love having the house/water heater/garage warm. Dad bought 2000 gal of propane the last year he heated with it now he burns 15 cords of wood a year I think it's still cheap

WOW I could use some at that price, $14 per cord.
    Is that delivered ? ?
Don't know where I'd put 41 cord, but I'd have fun finding a place .

    Edit
    It gets better !!!!
    & 5 cord left to split $600/46 = $13/ cord
I have more than that in truck gas per cord.

Bogy, around here, people still measure in face cord...I think that is what happened here. A "full" cord goes for anywhere from $90-$125 delivered. There are some places that still offer "cull" wood, but they are few and far between and I'm sure they would charge more than $14.

I work at a rental shop so I got a skid loader and a dump truck took one day to haul, but it took a lot of weekends to cut and split. As far as gas we use a lot between 2 tractors log splitter and saws
