I Know zero about VW other than I had a $50 beater Dasher back in the late 80s that was quite sporty at night. Run with the headlights off and snap them on and push the clutch when you saw lights coming. As soon as you turned the lights on it would die. Blew that baby up jumping frost heaves. Those old VWs had a real tight shift pattern and 4 to 1 at 50 drug the front bumper until the engine gave her last bit of compression. Daughter had a Tiguan 2.0t. Total POS.
Another Aunt had a Chrysler Pacifica...subframe rotted out from the AC condensation...it was a real issue on those cars and they never did issue a full recall on them...if your wheels fell off they fix it (basically) she took it in with some severe alignment issues and they didn't want to cover any of it! Had to fight to get them to pay for the labor, she had to buy the subframe (because was too old, even with low miles!) To me that should have been a 100% full blown recall!
Welcome to the land of socialism and free healthcare. Nothing is free and the money comes from somewhere.
Or the imitation u-joints let go in the rear drive shaft and take out one of the gas tanks. Those were a fine machine!
6 of 1........ 1/2 dozen of another. Last time I looked, you cost of living is nothing to rave about either.
Can't wait too see what happens to all those who spent mega dollars on over-leveraged houses. The mortgage rates are already showing signs of upward creeping.
2008 f350 6.4, hard miles! She still is pretty tight tho . My daily 2013 f150 5.0 has 149xxx still on original plugs!
