I want me a pair but haven't broke down and spent the money to get a pair. I think they would be nice since I do a lot of log walking when limbing trees up.

Never saw a need for them but used to always wear loggers boots. I may own another pair very soon.

I have a pair of hoffman smoke chasers and chippewa logger style boots. When walking logs the caulks would be nice to get better footing. I've been humming along and end up 15' in the air on a log.

Most of my firewood cutting is on a "mountain" side, and I cut the trees in the winter to skid out on snow. I got a pair of secondhand Hoffman's last year and really like them a lot - little chance of slipping with these on. I was worried about chewing up the mat and pedals on the tractor, but it doesn't seem to be an issue. I was out there today with them on - turned out to be a walk in the woods rather than dropping some trees as planned, but that's another story.
