Nope but I have kicked on the boiler I think 3 mornings. Our fires are probably are probably 3 to 4 weeks away yet. I usually burn off and on from end of Oct. through Nov. then deer gun season opens week after Thanksgiving & it warms up to 70 again....:hair:

No fire yet, haven't had a frost either. Was cool, then hot!!!! for September. 80 again tomorrow. We'll have small fires up north at the cabin this weekend I'd imagine. Kids, Grandkids, & very little sleep I bet. Looking forward to that.

We've had a few. I think we are officially to the once or twice a day stage. Burning uglies.

Not yet, but could have maybe. Was 61ºF at 5AM in the house day before yesterday. I think it was 38 degrees outside. ( It was 44ºF )
A window was open. The one over my office desk. Dunno who could have done that.
Pushed the thermostat up to 64 from 55. It was 68 degrees in about 20 minutes.

We don't usually have a fire until Halloween.
By then we're needing a fire in the morning and maybe another when the sun goes down.

Had our first at end of August - about 2 weeks early. It got cold and damp. Then 3-4 fires mid September, then hot weather for two weeks - I actually put off closing up the pool! Now cool again, 3rd night in a row I’ve had a fire.

No fires for me yet, still too warm around here. Had a couple cool mornings but nothing that would warrant a fire. We've usually had a fire by now in years past. Going to be in the 80s for the next few days too, so not planning on a fire for a while. Good thing, I still have to clean the chimney! Just starting to feel better from surgery so luckily it's been warm. I thoroughly clean the chimney every year before the first fire, not worth taking the chance! I will say that I've had plenty of outdoor fires so far!!
    :D:MM:

EDIT: I bought my new CAT this year so I'm anxious to fire that baby off!

Yep that's about where we are at here. Its getting down into the 40's at night so nice chilling out. Id probably just get a tiny lumber cut off fire for the first couple times and just let em go. No sense in setting this thing to bleeding Hades yet.

I almost started a fire Saturday, it was 41 outside and 62 inside but my stove is in the family room and that's where I watch TV. I was worried it wouldn't cool down in time to watch college football in the afternoon. I turned on the furnace instead.

Even though the reno isnt done yet, I put the new stove in its future home last night and hooked it up for a test run. It raised the temperarure in the house to the point where we threw open the patio door to cool it off. Outside temp was around 3 above freezing. The 30NC will do the job quite nicely this winter. :)

Now that sounds interesting and gives us some hope for some colder air coming down.
