How long to you go before you turn a bar over?

    Using a longer bar its a good idea to turn it up.

    Anytime I have seen wear there, it's caused by a loose chain.

    That might explain why I haven't had an issue with wear, despite not flipping very often...I try real hard to keep the chain adjusted, because I hate having them jump off/try to come getcha! :startled:
    Plus I think they cut better when tensioned properly...pretty easy to keep tight if you are checking it when touching up the teeth upon every re-fuel like I tend to do.

    I really try to keep an eye on my chain tension, anymore. I don't like throwing chains.

    I flip every other sharpening or a good days cutting, I like to clean everything also, easier to keep clean than doing a big cleaning. I like to put the straw of penetrating oil in the oiling holes on the bar, both sides, you can see it blow out in the chain link groove.

    Good idea on the straw to blow the hole out.
