The Wood Wolverine I have found the CBD treatments do pretty well. No added chemicals to make your fingers heat up or tingle. Works well, and almost immediate. Expensive to buy, but the stuff will last a while.
    I use it as needed

I think it was Maina who turned me into Arnica oil. I rub some on my thumb joint, and it helps.

Damm, thats S#%@$. I have two locking fingers in my left hand (trigger finger) and im sure mild arthritis in some of the others plus my joints as well.
I take a glucosamine chrondroitin supplement twice a day for joint health. Dont know how good it works for me but have been taking it for years. Ive always been active...roofing full time (mostly by myself) since i was 18 until i toned it down several years ago. Still always moving in some way shape or form. A lot more firewood making in recent years.
Ill take OTC ibuprofen for pain...with food. I have a scrip for 800mg and have been told by Dr. & RN that amount is safe at once for a person of my size...6'/230lbs. Try taking an OTC before a good firewood workout. That helps too.

I try to maintain a cutting and splitting pace which is sustainable and so do some everyday. I use asper-cream (or the less expensive no-name equivalent) topically to treat aches and pain points (fingers, shoulder, elbow) at bed time to get a good nights sleep. Mixing in a day off to hike instead of c/s/s also helps keep down the aches and pains.

Like Midwinter mentioned, arnica montana oil works very well. I’ve tried quite a few from Amazon and I like this one the best.
