English 101: Use the word "scabbard" in a sentence while sawing.
Now if you now like to say "scabbard", mark it on the bar cover.
If you heard a logger, an arborist, any serious saw user say "scabbard", they will be banished.:woodsign:
Reality check for the manufacturers' marketing gurus: tell the owners that they will have a "scabbard" for their new saws.
    Sounds nice.
Under no circumstances will the word "cover" be used; it's too common.:MM:

Example of use : no one ever used "ordinance" in service. Explosives, blow, "fire in the hole", watch your azz ; never " kindly beware of the ordinance".

Brad, fwiw, I run all my saws at 32:1 on Dolmar Synthetic oil, 90 octane E free rec fuel. I also use 8oz. of seafoam to 5gal of mix. My 064 has been sitting all summer with fuel in it, I filled it Friday, 3 pulls & it fired & ran fine.

Serious stuff now : some of you take some things too deadly. Too much time online in an unreal world.
You need to attack, fine. It's just the web. ( No "meds" Brenda....yet. And Mr. Warner, Ms. Horkn. How do you have so much time to spend online ? )
But getting your panties in a tear for silly talk is silly. :deadhorse:
You need to use a never used word just to make a silly, fine. This is a Monte Python. :heidi:
P.S. Stihl's zone manager says that they never use "scabbard" for the "free" bar covers they sell with new saws.
    End of story.

Was in the Stihl shop today getting some parts and talking to the repair guy. He said they are having trouble getting some parts so it is possible some repairs at a shop might take longer. BUT if that is the case a good shop wood call the customer and let them know what's going on. In my case today I needed an air filter for a 029 I'm working on for a guy. Didn't have a new one but showed me a like new used one that I took for about half price. Also got some free tips on trouble shooting this saw.

All in all I’d say you did alright Brad. I have been trying to buy a 261 CM for 3 weeks now, I am on a wait list for 3 different dealers, they all say it’s just horrible how long it takes to get anything in from them these days. I have a dealer 5 minutes from the house that I boycotted and it’s seriously inconvenient but a matter of principle. Murphy’s law they probably have several 261s in stock. Consider your situation a win that they fixed your saws and you didn’t loose a dealer out of the situation.

Sorry you have to wait, but It will be worth it. It’s a good one for firewood and tree work.

I’ve always ordered chain in 25’ rolls and once in 100’. They don’t sell in 50’ don’t know why.
Tried to order some 3/8 .50 and 325 .63 yesterday. Owner tells me he will check and call me back. Got a voicemail that he can’t get it until mid November, but he’d pull 25’ off his rolls and sell to me.
