How long does poplar take to season?

    Give it a full year and that will be plenty of time. Sometimes if conditions are good you can get away with even less. It dries quick.

    The wood itself will dry in 30 seconds. There’s a thick brown layer under the bark that soaks water like a sponge. If not well top covered that layer will remain wet until the bark falls off.
