I only get that reading 2 hrs after meds. Usually up in the 150-160 range. Heavy dosing of meds, makes me have dry mouth and feel dizzy. Slows memory. New standards "High blood pressure should be treated at 130/80 rather than 140/90, according to the new parameters set forth by the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology and nine other health professional"

They will no longer recognize what was "high normal" at all it becomes hypertension and they want to get things below 130 and below 80 now as I understood the 2017 guidelines.

ETA: Most non Beta blockers start working about one hour after swallowed but don't reach maximum strength until many hours later. Beta blockers are usually immediate and have relatively short half lives. Note half lives are all over the place and can change on you, note amLODipine has a half life of 30 to 50 hours and takes days to reach steady state in the blood stream however metoprolol tartrate goes from 3 to 9 hours (or in my case from 9 to 3 hours).

Right you are. If the numbers come down, so does the numbers of strokes and MI's. I lay a lot of the problem to processed foods, too much of it. Processing food with all these chemicals has an impact. Not good.

Just because it was cheap, doesn't mean it won't work.
It could have had a decent alcohol content....
    I like cheap.
    I is cheap.

Got room for a second stove? We have several members who do and Are much happier. Nothing worser than being cold.......... The older I get the more I hate it!!

Or replace the PS 50 with a big giant beast or a pellet furnace if you can afford it. A bunch of members seem to really like the 50F.

Nope, no room for a second unit. have the PS50 in the basement where the wood stove was.
Small raised ranch, approx 1000 sq ft, Peerless oil fired boiler. In a nutshell I was on a budget
after a kitchen reno last fall. Even doing the work myself it all ads up. Plan was to get a p61 but
I was being a cheap bastard and thought let's see if the pellet heat will go upstairs. Well it does
but not at the rate the wood stove did. May try and find a used P61 next yr. Also want to research
a pellet conversion on the boiler, any info here on these ?, hey pellets are easy on the ole back.

Add 10 years and they aren't so easy on the ole back. There are pellet fired gun burners but the conversion isn't just insert new burner where old one was.

There is a system for using the pellet stove for FHW and having the boiler run in tandem as a back up. Dang if I can recall what it is called though.
