Awesome seasoned firewood, great customer service and reliability earns a premium in any business environment. Talking with one of the Chefs, he thought the last firewood supplier just walked through the woods picking up limbs.

At least here in TN, most people seem to still be using their flip phones for picture taking?

My Dad and I were both career Navy guys, so I have lived in a lot of places for short periods. I have never really felt an attachment to any State, City, Coast etc. I have definitely noticed some uniqueness to Tennesseans after living here 5 years as of yesterday. I used to think everybody had 32 teeth no matter where you were born. It is also impressive what sort of physical activities you can do with a cigarette hanging out from your lips. I moved to TN from CO which is supposedly one of the most healthy states in the country.

I cut all of my firewood. Don't sell any. For all of the work and expense involved, I say charge as much as you can. Maybe lower abit for hardship cases.

Believe I charge double or more for my firewood than others in my area. One of the reasons why is that I keep close account of the cost of producing and delivering firewood. One of the items that I have built into my cost is $25 a face cord into stuff happens. Last November a buck hit my door handle head on and then wiped out the enter left side of my truck during a delivery. $5,500 of damage minus my $1,000 deductible. Three months later I hit a very deep pothole that blew out one of my trailer tires and bent the axle. Another $900 expense and greater since I couldn't deliver multi face cord deliveries for two weeks. Then today I notice my truck in the garage with 1/2 a cord of wood in the bed had a slit lean to it. WTF. Front tire was flat from a screw I picked up delivering yesterday. I have hazard warranty from Costco on my new tires, but have to divert to there early in the morning before two scheduled deliveries. Screw is on the outer thread, so probably need a new tire. Two weeks to get a new one from call to Costco today. Have noticed multi screws and ammo rounds in my firewood the past week. Lucky I didn't hit any of the debris with my saw. CHARGE MORE!!!!!! Don't cry for me much though. Hit 100K this weekend over the past 20 months.

Hard day of delivering and getting my tire repair. Loaded four face cords when I got home for tomorrow's deliveries. August will be my best month in four years. What does that mean for the rest of the year?

Too wiped out from the day to remove the spare tire and put the main tire back on. Maybe in the next few days. Costco said I had to wait in line if I wanted them to put my tire back on. No thank y0u. I can do it in :30 vice waiting a few hours.

After tomorrow's deliveries, only need two more face cords to hit 10k for the month. Sort or hope it doesn't happen, have a lot of other things to keep up on.
