I don't use mine like that and I can only imagine what it would be like sticking yourself and it would probably be with a strong swing.

I found this picture where I was using the pickeroon to roll the big log. It works very well.

Yeah, well he's the reason everything is plastered with warning labels.

Aren't you supposed to stand on top of the log for log rolling ?

Maybe someone else. Certainly not me. But maybe at a GTG. One never knows what might happen.

It is what I believe they call a pulp hook.
The ones I have are made by Gripo out of Canada.

It got a workout today for sure.

Did anybody say standing up a round yet? So you can then use the hookaroon to roll it.
You need a pair of them to get full benefit. 2 in one bigger round or picking up 2 pieces of wood.

I love my log-rite hookaroon. Loading and unloading the truck, pulling logs out of the brush, it's great. Just have to be very conscious about how you swing it. I haven't hit myself with it and would like to keep it that way.

I use a hatcharoon. It’ll grip into 100lbs of wood no problem. That birds mouth acts as a fulcrum. Just whack the handle a bit and it releases. Works well for picking up rounds for loading or splitting. Doubles as a back scratcher too.

Log Rite here as well. Very nice products and made here in good ole' Connecticut.
I have 2 hookaroons , a Cant Hook and their log arch Jr. ; all very nicely built products.
