My tuning screw drivers came late yesterday. I got to do a little tuning this morning. I'm pretty happy with this little saw. I'll have some time later today to make a video, maybe you experienced guys can critique my tuning work.

Yea , most people dog them. But there quite fun saws and with muffler mods. Sure there no stihl 026 but for the money I have in them I strap them to my ATV or trailer and go to the farm. Sure I dont want it to fall off on the way but if it did I would be bummed for a few hours to a few days. If I lost a stihl...id never forget

Seems pretty close to me, maybe just a hair on the rich side, as noted by the braaaaaa-ruuuummmm in and out in and out. Just my opinion. Sometimes I give 'er a 1/8 lean on the H when it bounces like that, sometimes I don't worry about it.

Funny thing on my saw, is when it sounds like yours, it will smoothen out at about a half tank....

Bobdog, I know nothing so I defer to wise people but is the engine even broke in yet? sounds like it's trying to seat the rings.. could just be my tablet.. but good for you on taking her apart and making her run again:yes:

Nope, today was the first real running, 1 tank worth. I know as it breaks in it'll need some adjustments, but hey, thats why i bought the tools...

Side note, I went with the PET-1000 (Echo Branded) tach, really nice function on that, and these tuning screw drivers...Cheap i wouldnt recommend them, we'll see how long they last. It will probably be a LONG time unless i go pro with this  :rofl: :rofl:

Not too shabby, man! Sounded like the saw was trying to clean up in the cut at different times.... You're on your way to a new side business

It sounds too rich. The saw should cleanup in the cut and it is not turning enough RPM's out of the cut.

When the saw gets half a tank low it effects the tune they say???

I read somewhere, manual I guess that you should tune with a half a tank of fuel. I dont do that though.

Madsens says to tune them at a half tank. If you tune them with a full tank they will be lean at an emtpy tank, and if you tune them with an empty tank they will be rich when full.

Just watched the vid. And got through about 30 seconds of the cutting. Sounds way to fat.
